STORY

June 17, 1944

The 29th Infantry Division is 3 miles from St Lo.

His goal: Free the city of St Lo.

The command post is at Govin.

For almost 3 weeks, the positions are not going to move, the Germans will attack four times without success.

The 116th and 115th are fighting in the area of Couvains with heavy losses.

The wounded are taken care of by the 104th Medical Battalion  104 med bat
