STORY

James J ULAND : Son of Oville and Marrah Uland. He was born in Greene County and attended Solsberry High School. He was a farmer at the time that he entered the Army in November 1943.

He took his training at Camp Blanding, FL; Camp Forrest, TN; and Camp Atterbury, IN.

He went overseas the first part of 1944.

He was killed in action in France on July 17, 1944.
