It’s always an honor to walk in the footsteps and visit the final resting place of a young soldier who fought and paid the ultimate price to liberate my country. The day was full of emotion as it was the first time that the family came to visit the place where Pfc John W. Adams was killed at St Patrice des Claids on July 16th, 1944. Afterward, we went to the Normandy American Cemetery to pay our respect to their fallen relative with the french couple who adopted the grave. Thanks to battlefield tour guide Larry Saul and historian @8thinfantrydivision for this wonderful opportunity. It would not have been possible without them. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
