Certificate of Award of the Air Medal with 7 oak leaves to Cpt. DODGE. | ||||||
US Army Air Corps World War II Veteran. He served as Pilot Captain in the 419th Bomber Squadron, 301st Bomber Group (Heavy). On the return from a bombing mission his B-17 plane crashed into the Mediterranean Sea about 70 miles southwest of Marseilles, France. The remains were never found. His awards included the Air Medal with 7 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.
