William WATERS, son of Oliver and Margaret was born in 1921 in Brookside, Ohio.
He enlisted in the US Air Force in July 1942 and was directed to training as a bomber pilot.
It was converted into a B-17 training course before being assigned to the 341st Bomber Squadron. |

Young pilot he is designated as co-pilot of the 1Lt. Richard PACKARD.
Their plane crashed on 16 November 1943 near Istres after being shot down.
